Dear My Lovely Ray of San Tribe,
It’s been a while since I have written on here, and boy, does it feel good to be back and at it again! I hope you are all doing well and having a beautiful summer so far.
Over the summer, I have been taking some much needed time out for myself, and I hope you’ve been doing the same. Today, I want to talk about expecting more and better for ourselves.
I often talk about playing small, and refusing to do that any longer. I encourage you to look around your life; all aspects, from your career, to relationships and to lifestyle and open your eyes as to where you may have been settling for “crumbs”, when you could be getting, well, for lack of better words, the whole damn cookie! 🍪 Milk, anyone?
Sometimes we become so accustomed to how things are, that we expect it to always stay that way. We may become complacent, and get into a routine, and there is nothing wrong with a routine. However, we ran the risk of no progress being made if we stay in a rut for too long.
The truth is, you deserve an enriched life! You deserve to materialize and manifest the life that you close your eyes and dream about at night. You deserve more, and you deserve it all! This is your reminder to quit playing it small, to quit selling yourself short, to quit staying quiet in a room full of voices. This is your reminder to stand up in order to have what it is that is rightfully yours; happiness, love, and seeing your wildest dreams come to life in front of you.
Have you been waiting for the right opportunity to go after your dream job? Your dream relationship, or even simply just wake up and change up your routine and make better choices for yourself? Sometimes we are afraid to change things up, because we are happy to just get what we can, forgetting that we do deserve more and can have more if we so wish to. Yes, of course, still be grateful for all the little things, but never ever say sorry for wanting more for yourself, and for your future.
Say this every day to yourself: Gone are the days when we simply imagine or dream the days away. Here is the day when reality feels better than we could ever have imagined. Believe it, own it, and live it! Your dreams and future self are waiting! Pursue them with passion!
